1 Peter 4:1-6 ”Ceasing from Sin”
Attitude of Jesus
Jesus did not let suffering give sin a hold in His life.
The harm that sin would bring us is worse than what the
world can do to us for refusing.
A commitment to God's will brings us away from sin.
Use of Time
We all have a past of lawless idolatry.
Time spent in sin is wasted.
Whatever our past, our future can be full of meaning and purpose.
Remembering the End (vs4-6)
People will expect your past to be your present.
We must remember blasphemers will stand before God.
We must remember the life and reward we have in Christ
after death.
